Impact A Hero Holds Its 12th Annual
Hall of Fame Gala Dinner

Severely wounded heroes and family members were honored

Co-founder Jim Hoelker and Gala Chair Megan Harper were on hand as Impact A Hero presented its 12th Annual Impact A Hero Hall of Fame Gala Dinner, Diamonds & Denim, on May 22 at NRG Stadium. The event benefits severely wounded heroes injured in post 9/11 combat and honored more than 120 wounded heroes and family members.

The evening included VIP registration, reception and silent auction, standard registration and reception, banquet and live auction, Partner of the Year presentation, and Hall of Fame inductions for Army Sergeant First Class, Dana Bowman (Ret.); Air Force Technical Sergeant, Dallas Bozeman; Medal of Honor recipient Marine Corporal Jason Dunham (KIA); Army Staff Sergeant, Shilo Harris (Ret.); and Army Major, William Lyles (Ret.).

Randy McIlvoy, KPRC Channel 2 sports director, was the master of ceremonies. Seen in the crowd were Impact A Hero Chairman of the Board Dan Sullenbarger; Board members Rod Long, Army First Lieutenant Daniel Ebarb and Constance White; Director of Veteran Relations Mike Nasche; Business Director Laurel Goodroe; Co-Chairman of the Impact A Hero 5K Walk, Run and Wheel Larry Boyd; KPRC 2 Special Projects Producer Lauren Sweeney Brown and husband Tyler Brown; KPRC 2 Promotions Manager, Mariah Gardner and Marin Guillermo; former Houston Texans Center Chris Myers and wife Jenny; Congressman Pete Olson and wife Nancy; Chief Geophysicist, Gulf of Mexico Exploration for Marathon Oil Corporation Scott H. Koza and wife Amber; KTRK 13 Reporter Christine Dobbyn; and Michael Desbiens.

Impact A Hero Weekend gives Houstonians an opportunity to join national celebrities in thanking our severely wounded servicemen and women for sacrificing their minds, bodies and sometimes their lives. The nonpartisan nonprofit organization consists of individuals and corporations dedicated to providing emotional and financial support for severely wounded or disabled veterans injured in the post 9/11 combat and
