Citizens For Animal Protection

Fashion and furry friends proved to be a winning combination at the kickoff for the Nov. 18 Celebrity Paws Gala. More than 100 supporters donated supplies to help animals impacted by Harvey. The “Top Ten Elite” honorees, with their pets in tow, mixed and mingled at Tootsies while chatting about relief efforts under way in the Houston area to help not only people but their pets too. The honorees competing in their fundraising efforts for CAP include Sara and James Parr, Cody Tinney and Sharilyn Durdin Lampson.

Opening Style Show

Junior League Of Houston


At this year’s Opening Style Show, The Junior League showcased the massive outpouring of support, labor and love for flood victims, donating a portion of tickets to the JL’s own Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. The League has dispersed nine grants to local organizations to help with recovery. The Style Show also provided some much-needed entertainment as guests enjoyed a glam fall fashion preview.

Labor Day Luncheon & Style Show

The Women’s Hospital

Babies were on everyone’s minds at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas 14th Annual Labor Day Luncheon & Style Show. The event raised more than $52,000 for the March of Dimes and featured a fabulous luncheon, a style show presented by Natalie King, a runway show produced by Todd Ramos, and a pop-up market which included nearly 20 of the hottest area boutiques. Hospital CEO Ashley McClellan co-chaired the event with Karina Barbieri.

Women Of Wardrobe

Dress For Success

Nonprofits love their energetic, young professional groups, and for Dress for Success Houston that group is the Women of Wardrobe (WOW). Every year WOW sponsors a fashionable Summer Soirée which attracts a lively group of supporters whose trendy outfits are definitely WOW-worthy. DFSH Vice-president Lauren Levicki Courville told guests that 3,500 women and 900 veterans will be helped by Dress for Success this year.  Ladies sipped cocktails, enjoyed tasty bites from several restaurants and viewed the latest fall fashions.
